The Comprehensive Healthcare Center for Women with Physical Disabilities
In November 2001, Magee-Womens Hospital opened The Comprehensive Healthcare Center for Women with Physical Disabilities. The Center is one of only a handful of facilities in the nation to create a designated clinical site staffed by a multidisciplinary team where women with physical disabilities can receive comprehensive healthcare in a barrier-free environment. With approximately 27 million women with physical disabilities in the United States, the Center embraces the Womancare philosophy where all women are placed directly at the center of their healthcare, enabling them to make informed choices.Ovarian Cancer Screening Center
A major focus of the Magee/UPCI Women's Cancer program is ovarian cancer, which is the second most common gynecologic cancer and currently the fifth leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. The new Ovarian Cancer Screening Center combines the latest medical and scientific knowledge with the most advanced surveillance and diagnostic methods. Services include cancer risk assessment by a genetic counselor, psychosocial support, and a variety of screening tests.Center for Continence and Pelvic Floor Disorders

One of the first in the region, Magee offers a dedicated center for infusion treatment of diseases with an inflammatory foundation such as irritable bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis and asthma.Bariatrics and Minimally Invasive Surgery
Capabilities for general minimally invasive surgery (MIS) include two minimally-invasive operating suites and a fellowship-trained physician specializing in MIS bariatrics.
Lupus Center
The Lupus Center of Excellence announces a new era in lupus patient care and research. After several years of planning, design, and hard work by many dedicated friends, the Lupus Patient Care and Translational Research Program opened its permanent home at Magee. The Center is the only one in the country to offer a comprehensive, multidisciplinary environment, where patients with lupus are offered a “one-stop shop” for all of their healthcare needs.
