Magee-Womens Hospital, in collaboration with other CoEs, is working hard to enhance medical education by insuring the appropriate training in women’s health. The CoE professional education initiatives are to:

• Identify knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for physicians to be competent in the care of all women, including minority women.

• Provide leadership in curriculum revision in medical education to better provide training for all physicians on the particular health needs of women.

• Require and track gender-specific medical continuing education. In 2002, Magee introduced the Gender-Based Education Series for Physicians.
